Renovation and building works in Florence

Renovation of flats, offices and commercial premises, from strip-out to handover.

We take on whole sites, not just touch-ups. A flat to be redone, an office to be reconfigured, a commercial unit to be brought back to new before opening: we run the job from strip-out to handing over the keys.

Masonry, plasterboard, floors and wall coverings, bathroom and kitchen refits, painting and finishing. Trades requiring a specific licence are handed to qualified technicians, and the coordination stays with us: the client has one contact, not six phone numbers.

There is one thing most building firms do not do, and for us it is second nature: the final clean is included. A site handed over full of dust is not a finished site, and it saves you calling in a cleaning company, which would be us anyway.

Before quoting we come and measure. The specification sets out what is included and what is not, line by line, because that is precisely what arguments at the end of a job are made of.

Full renovation of flats

Strip-out, chases for services, floors, bathroom and kitchen, painting, finishing. A 1960s flat being brought up to standard has a fixed sequence, and skipping a step means reopening a wall that was closed the month before.

Offices and commercial units

Reconfiguring a workspace, preparing a shop before opening, adapting premises to a new business. The constraint here is the date: the rent is running, and an opening put back by two weeks costs more than any line in the specification.

Masonry, plasterboard and floors

Partitions, suspended ceilings, making good, laying floors and wall coverings. Plasterboard lets you change the plan of an office in a week rather than a month, and change it back the day the organisation changes again.

One contact for the whole site

Work requiring a licence goes to qualified technicians, but the coordination stays with us. You have one number to call, not six. Anyone who has run a site with five trades all waiting for each other knows what that is worth.

The final clean is included

Almost no building firm includes it, and almost every client finds that out on handover day. With us it is in the price: the site is handed over clean, glass included, because the cleaning company you would have to call would be us anyway.

The specification, line by line

Before quoting we come and measure. Then we write down what is included and what is not, line by line. Arguments at the end of a job always come from an item nobody put in writing, and on that we do not economise on clarity.
